St Augustine

Last week i had a day off and fancied a wee trip down to the beach... so me Beth, Gemma and Kim decided to go visit the beautiful town of St Augustine. Its about 2 hours away from where we are and is the oldest town in America. I was gutted because we stayed on the beach for literally 5 minutes however we made the most of the day and visited the old town. It was incredible so much history there from when the brits and spaniards invaded and then obviously when it got its independance all of the old churches and the school were really fascinating. The weather kept good too. Ive decided that i want to retire and live there.. it really is a beautiful place.

Atlantis shuttle launch

Ok so no pictures of the rocket itself but to be honest it was just a big white light! i have it on video which is far better! So we headed to cocoa beach after work to check out the atlantis launch.. very exciting stuff as we got lost on the way and were convinced we were going to miss it. but we got there on time. It really was amazing to see! the whole beach packed out to see it then at i think it was 7.38 this big white light shoots into the sky leaving a huuuge trail of smoke. about id say a minute later the roar of the engine could be heard... literally gave me goosebumps! incredible stuff! afterwards we went for dinner at at steakhouse nearby and had the worst service ever it was soo bad i wanted to go back it was the funniest thing ever!

always a fun lads... this time it was the turn of Ryan, Derek, Liam and Jim. Andy and Ross put on a treat for these guys!! can't really give too much away although the pictures kinda give a lot away. It was much easier than ours for sure but definately not easy! Not too much to say on the matter as the pictures explain it all. Also made a little bid for vice chairman and lost :( Congrats to Big dave who won! Sorry im not doing this as much as i promised.. im working so much lately so please forgive me!

Magic Kingdom fun!

Random days out rule!! This week i decided a trip to the Magic Kingdom was in order because i haven't really visited there much. Lucy, Kerri, Andrea and myself decided to head down one day after work. We wanted to meet some characters too so we can get some decent Disney pics but that went down in flames when it rained :( We tried out the new Monsters inc attraction which was really fun.. its like a comedy show hosted by Mike.. i loved it! then we did a few rides and watched spectromagic and then wishes!! We had loadsa fun. just wish my camera knew how to take pictures in the night! :(

Last night the Rose and Crown said goodbye to one of its most loved members of staff!! Doug our assignor has been there for 12 years but has been asked to leave by immigration because he cant prove his English heritage!! He didnt want a last song so he came in for a meal in the evening and we all crowded round his table and sang 'for hes a jolly good fellow' to him. Doug will defo be missed... mmm hmm girlfriend, hard worker comin thru!!

As part of the cruise you get all your food included, each night you eat at a different restaurant but keep the same server for each evening. We also got a wine package added on. One night we got all dressed up and headed to Tritons which is a french restaurant themed around 'The Little Mermaid' the food there was amazing. On the way we bumped into Cinderella on the lobby and she asked if she could get a picture with me so of course i did! That night the cruise had a party called the Pirate party which was so much fun we all got into it and we dancing and singing then all of a sudden all the characters came out which was fun and it all ended with a fireworks show in the middle of the ocean! The next day we went parasailing which was soo much fun and the weather was fabulous so the views were incredible! That night we had our final meal at a restaurant called animators palate. The whole place is black and white with paintings on the wall in black and white and then as the night goes on everything becomes colourful and at the end of the night the servers walk through the restaurant and you cheer for them to say thanks to them!! All in all i had an incredible time and wouldn't hesitate to do it again! I miss it already!!

Bahamas Baby!!

So this weekend I took a little break and headed to the sunny bahamas on a disney cruise! I headed down with Lyndsey, Lucy and Anneliese (random group) on Thursday first thing. The Cruise ship itself is absolutely HUUUUUUUGE! ive never seen a cruise ship before and i was just in awe! when we got on we inspected our room, it was lovely we had a verander right at the very front of the boat which was fantastic for views! Then we headed downstairs for a safety briefing on one of the decks and then...

Party time wooo!! Disney organised a 'set sail party' for the boat leaving. It was a gorgeous day and we were all on the top decks the music pumping, sun shining it was such a good feeling! Then halfway through the show loads of characters came out and danced on the stage. As we set sail we looked down the the dock where we boarded and some of the staff waved us off!! very fun! One of the best parts of the cruise was the entertainment. The nightly shows were fantastic and we got speaking to some of the performers (i spent half a day at the pool with the performers while the others were at the beach) and they love what they do.

Nobody can go to the bahamas without watching the sun set and without visiting those gorgeous beaches. Disney actually owns its own bahamian island called Castaway Cay. The island can only be visited by cruise guests and it only docks twice a week so the island is immaculate. When we arrived it looked like the island form lost. Disney only open i'd say about a third of the entire island to the public. I wanted to explore but it was all blocked off. One of the main features of Castaway Cay is the flying dutchman ship from the Pirates of the Carribean movies. Its the actual one that they use.. its incredible! here are some pics of the Bahamas below!

So as they had the ship from Pirates of the Carribean i thougt who better to get a photo with than Jack Sparrow himself.. Im in love! I met his 'friend' by the pool.. so hot!! We also met Minnie and Pluto on the island.. i cant stress enough how much the island is like paradise.. its gorgeous!! the sea was clear as anything the sand was white and it was just so clean!! i loved it so much especially the adult beach.. it was so quiet. Obviously now that ive learned to swim i decided to put my new skills into practice and swam as far out as i could which was miles, i felt like i was in the middle of the ocean! I got caught by the tide briefly though which wasnt fun!!

Finally i have some visitors!! On Tuesday Chris, Jo and Jenny who i worked with when i was back home in sunny Liverpool arrived to come visit me!! yay!! So last night i took them to the Rose and Crown for dinner which was ncie, they loved the fireworks and then i felt i had to take them to Jellyrolls!! So we met up with Charis and Andrew and then later on we were joined by Lou and Chris too which was awesome! Its really nice having them over and taking them around the parks, and showqing them the places where i hang out. We have a trip to Cowboys planned for the weekend so watch this space!! the best thing is that gets me away from the commons for a little while so when i get back theres plenty of gossip!!!! I am however screwed today as i had to let them go to Magic Kingdom alone because ive lost my voice and am working tommorrow and need to get it back so i decided to be sensible! but yeah its awesome having folk here!

EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival

Just random pretty flowers and stuf around EPCOT. The flower and garden festival lasts about 2 months here. its quite cool they make huge characters out of flowers and bushes and stuff. Some of it is absolutely amazing, they also have loads of little stalls and seminars about how to look after a garden and really random stuff. so here are some pics!!

Its that time again!! time for people to leave us this time it was Lou and Stevie. I have my friends from Liverpool over but i left them and headed down to the pub to say goodbye to Lou. Lou was a good friend who i didnt spend as much time as i would have liked to with despite that though she was always there for me and when we did do stuff we had a ball!! Its sad that she has to go but its really not long until im heading home now so i'll be seeing her really soon!!

The Throw in is back!!

A tradition out here in Florida which died about six months ago was a throw in for the new arrivals. Each pavillion would have a party in the honour of their new friends and they would get stuff thrown over them as a welcome. I never got one when i arrived and recently the newbie meet and greets aren't much fun so we thought we would risk upsetting security and arrange a good ol' fashioned throw in! The team was Me and Ceri were hosting, Aaron made welcome packs for the newbies and also made sure everyone knew what they should be doing and Kerri and Vicky had the job of making the newbies do shots and then throwin custard pies on the newbies!We all enjoyed doing it and the newbies were very up for it! and it hopefully made the
UK realise that they can have parties!!It was such a fun night and id defo do one again. Bring back the fun UK!!

Yesterday Wayne turned 21. Which means he can now legally drink in the USA!! So, to celebrate this occasion we went drinking around the world. This is basically Going around Epcot's world showcase and getting a drink form each country.. sounds easy? Its not. For example: in Japan you get Sake and then in the next 2 pavillions you get wine and then beer and then cocktails... all in all you get pretty drunk. But its very fun! So above are pictures of the world showcase where i work and below are pictures from drinking around the world!I hadnt eaten all day so i was pretty wasted! Really fun day defo want to do it again soon!

6 months in!

Can't believe ive lasted six months! All of our arrival group have managed to last 6 months and to celebrate our 6 month anniversary we decided to go for dinner and get together. Kerri organised it and did a fine job!! Last time we were all together was about 5 and a half months ago at Universal so it was nice to see everyone together again! Especially with people i don't really see anymore like Di and Jenna. I still see Nat but nowhere near as much as she'd like bless her! We were missing a few people but all in all everybody was there. We went to Wolfgang Pucks in Downtown Disney. It was very nice if not a bit filling! It was a really fun night spoiled only by the taxi being late and everyone being late to lads and lasses! Also known as the manatee!! Yesterday we went to Homosassa wildlife park which is about 3 hours drive away! Very cool place altho the weather didnt hold up for us :( i went in shorts and a tshirt and when we got there it was cold and it rained! Homosassa is very close on the coastline to the Gulf of Mexico so there is a lot of fresh water in the area. Manatees are the main drawing point for going to the park which is why we went. The park itself housed a lot of wildlife including amongst others a Hippo called Lu.. Lu was the best part of the day.. if you've never seen a hippo poo then you are in for a treat! Hippo poo is like a wet fart so in the park they have a splash zone in case u get covered in poo!! Lu did a big poo and then laughed afterwards the funniest thing ever i know!! quality! We also saw plenty of Manatees.. sadly i didnt take my camera however i did buy a souvenier.. this is actually getting sent home to Zoe who i know is a big Manatee lover its a manatee in a nurses outfit!! Jeez these things get harder the further on you get!! This time it was Amy and Graham. These 2 have looked out for me since day one!! we just bonded together so well!! Im truly gutted they are leaving as the place wont be the same, they were very very popular here so it's going to be noticed when they go! Then Gary goes too which is sad because hes a really good lad.. a pain in the ass but he means well. Kirsty is going too she is awesome such a nice girl and so random. My ex chairman and my initiator leave which totally sucks coz lads stick together! All in all its sad to see this lot go because some of the biggest personalities here go and im gonna miss all of em in a different way but rest assured guys... im headed to Glasgow when i get home!!

Tonight was not only Neil, Graham and Ians last lads for good!! It was also the night i got my Lads name and my Lads shirt! My Lads name is Floater because during initiations ( without giving much away) we had to jump in the pool. It was quite possibly the coldest night since iver been here. It must have been close to zero degrees and i cant swim.. this went unnoticed for ages but at a throw out somebody threw me out a life jacket because i cant swim. During initiations i floated for a while and then decided it would be best to walk the length of the pool.. so theres the story. Initiations was one of the hardest things ever but im so glad i did it.. Now im finally a UK Lad!!

Today was my day off during my week of hell at work so i took the time to do some stuff that makes me really smiley!! Firstly we went to the Polynesian resort for lunch. We had this cool hawaiian cuisine it was very very good and surprisingly cheap too!! 3 courses for 25 bucks!! Then my fave thing in the entire world SPEEDBOATING!! yay! we did speedboating for about an hour.. it was such a gorgeous day the weather has been really bad lately but today was hot and sunny! We got told off for dangerous driving in our speedboats by some stupid man! after that we went to the beach at the resort and chilled for a bit and also hit the pool!! Very fun! Then we went to the Grand Floridian and randomly bumped into none other than the fairy godmother.. lovely woman.. heart of gold! had such fun really cheered me up! hopefully have a fun day like this tomorrow too if its sunny!!

Ive finally been initiated into lads... im not allowed to let people know what goes on at initiations so im not going to post any pictures or anything. Lets just say during it one guy quit another guy had to stop because he had some sort of hyperthermia attack thing (by the way he was awesome he is a legend) and i must ahve thrown up a good 10 times easily. After it was all over though i felt so proud to say im now a UK lad and i get my shirt and lads name very soon!! If you would have seen what we had to do you would be so proud!!

Another tradition in the UK is a last song for all the restaurant staff in the pub. Leon our performer always does it.. he plays leaving on a jetplane but changes the words so it personal.. very sad stuff!! its sooo weird because ive seen 3 or 4 and never been that bothered but now its my best mates it was horrible i was fine just singin along takin pics and then i saw Amy cry.. shes like a steel bitch nothing gets her so seeing that set me off and then i set someone else off... fun!! it was very emotional but they are happy to be going. Ive made 2 amazing friends this year and i will definatly not be losng touch with either of them its just poo that i couldnt go with them!! heres to anohter 7 months.. ill miss you guys!! Rather emotional night!! We started early at 9 which is early for jellyrolls we usually get there after 11. So We all headed down and decided that we needed to be the most drunk people there... by god we were!!!!! we had so much fun i was absolutely hammered by 11.30. Its a tradition in the UK to have a last song which is time of your life by Greenday. So we had that and it was a really bad effort by the pianist which really sucked! But then they played the uk lads song.. Tiny Dancer by Elton John and it just set us all off!! i was a blubbering wreck for about 10 minutes... Amy looked after me though which made it a little better!! Skydiveage!!

Put skydiving on your list of things to do before you die!! The most incredible feeling ever is plummeting 18,000 feet (the highest you can do in this country!) to the ground at 120Mph! There are no words to describe the freefall at all. I freefalled for 70 seconds it was nuts all the photos were taken during the freefall. They release a small parachute which keeps you balanced in the air and saves you spinning etc. We dived over cape canaveral so when my parachute was released i had a gorgeous view of the space center and the ocean. The parachute ride back was gorgeous the view was absolutely breathtaking. Brent taught me how to steer with the parachute and a couple of little tricks he was an awesome guy. All of our instructors were suited to us. Gaynor got a hot brazilian guy, Sally got this laid back guy who was just really chilled, Craig got the most sensible and proffessional guy and i got Brent the total nutjob.. i loved him. When we were up in the plane he just started shouting 'were all gonna die!!' He was awesome!! The best thing ive ever done in my life and i would do it again in a heartbeat.

Bistro De Paris

Eating out in Florida so far has been an amazing experience most of the time. Tonight topped it all. We ate in Bistro de Paris which although situated in Epcot is not a disney restaurant. It is a french themed restaurant which has the highest possible standards. So i turned up in a thundercats Tshirt and a pair of camoflauge shorts! whoops! Disneys going through a queit spell at the moment so it was easy to get in however you do need to book months in advance usually. Our waiter was the lovely Stefan he was yummy! Not as yummy as the food though. We started with a dish compliments of the restaurant which is designed to clear the palate. Ours was salmon (if you know me you know i hate salmon) topped with a lemon cream. It was fantastic. Then we ordered a bottle of Sancerre which is a very very expensive white wine. For my appetizer i ate frogs legs and snails, delicious frogs legs are awesome! For my main i had Veal served with baby sweet potatoes and mushroom truffle. It was like a party in my mouth it was all soo yummy. Then we proceeded with a cheese plate which was amazing i actually enjoyed goats cheese (whats going on there?!) For dessert we had a dessert platter which had some amazing desserts.. i truly loved it. The company was amzing Jo was a true lady all evening, we really bonded and enjoyed ourselves i had a great evening. Excelent food and excellent service... food really does sooth the soul!!

The day after i got my sexy little tattoo i decided that i needed to get up and do something other than work so i headed out with James, Luke, Kim and Kyle. In the afternoon we headed to Disney MGM studios and had ball.. did the usual stuff, tower of terror etc. In the evening we headed to the Animal Kingdom Lodge which is Disneys premier hotel. It has 2 restaurants which are both gorgeous. We ate in Boma which is a buffet style restaurant but the food is delicious. All themed on Africa so its all traditional african cuisine. It was delicious. We had a look around the resort itself .. my word its beautiful. if you get the chance stay there because its seriously fantastic. Ive left a few pictures for you to enjoy!

Yesterday was Grahams 24th and Ceri's 19th Birthdays so we needed to celebrate as they are both awesome!! It was an early start, 11.00am which is quite early here!! So as soon as we all got together we headed to Bahama Breeze which is a restaurant about 5 mins away the food is really good although the portions are immense i could never finish a meal there!! I digress... so we treated them both to some fab lunch and here are a few pics..

After Lunch Me, Ceri, Lucy, Gemma and Vicky headed down to Florida mall.... I nearly bought a psp but then backed out because the salesman didnt have me convinced!! We went there looking for a nice fitted black shirt for me and posh dresses for the girls and ended up in this random old person shop like a debenhams kinda place and we found these prom dresses, so of course i encouraged the girls to try them on... class!! We also found a comic book shop which amused me.. (for the record boswells just like worlds apart only cleaner). Here are a few pics from our little trip..

Then we went to Cowboys.. yeeehaaa!! I love this place so much and im actually getting quite good at line dancing which worries me slightly! there were millions of us last nie all of the Uk pavillion and loads from Canada (boo) too! Wefff found this old couple who were the cutest thing ever they had matching outfits and had their own dances and danced in each others arms all nite.. way cute! here are the pics from the nite including one of said old couple!! Layin the smackdown!

My word i have just had the best night ever (again!) Graham, Lee, Neil, Alex, Johnnie and of course Aaron and I went to WWE Smackdown!! It was sooo good apologies for the pics the battery went on my camera after the 2nd match but u will find more on bebo as soon as i can get hold of some. So we headed down to lakeland which is about 45 mins away and waited in the longest line ive ever seen but it was all worth it! We saw Kane, Booker T, Batista, JBL, Tazz, Test Rob Van Damme and possibly the biggest dream come true ever.. The Undertaker.. i will get some pics of him soon! The undertaker did the tombstone and chokeslammed a midget i nearly wet myself! Kane fought twice and won both times... just an amazing night.. we stole seats coz we had pretty poo ones to begin with so we moved our way forwards and no lie we were 10ft away from the ring when the Undertaker, Batista and Kane were a tag team it was sooooo good.. i will never forget tonight!!

Last night a few of us went for a drink to the funnest bar ever!! Cowboys is a bar that plays country music. Pretty cool already?! well it gets cooler, they have a massive dancefloor and everybody line dances all night long!! Quite possibly the best fun in ages! We felt so American it was unreal! The dances are very very hard but you can pick them up. Its so cheesy and they serve free beer!!!!!! We had an absolute ball and they give lessons on Saturdays at 8pm.. My day off!! so i reckons im gonna go get me some line dancing lessons.. ill be a pro in no time! pics: Top 2 are random folks line dancing! Below Kerri and I being true americans by looking all serious with our beer and Kerri stood in front of a fan being a thoughtful cowgirl! Such a good night!!

Merry Christmas

Hey guys just turned christmas over here and ive just left a party!! Hope you are all having a fab christmas.. really cant wait to be reunited with everyone i think this is the hardest thing ever being away from Kate, Kerry and Emma at christmas!! I miss everyone loads though wish i wsh there with the cap bank lot, living with the Boswells, seeing my family and waking up christmas morning and popping over to see Kate and then Emma and Kerry popping over or giving me a call!! Being away from home right now makes me appreciate what ive got in England and i wouldnt give it away again for anything!! Have a fantastic christmas and get very wasted guys!! I plan to!! I miss you all loads and loads.. its not the same without you!!

Christmas Dinner

So christmas day for me was December 23rd although i didnt open my presents coz im a good boy!! Jo and I decided to treat ourselves and some of our friends to Christmas dinner. We headed to Walmart early (you know how competitive it gets) with Deborah and Bettina, jo's roomies. We got sooo much stuff including a big turkey and a duck and loads of booze and other random junk, the bill came to $165! thats for christmas dinner which in the end fed 12 people!!! Sooo freakin cheap!! So we set to work straight away when we got home i was potato monitor while jo looked after the sprouts veg and birds and then we knda just shared it the longer we got into it. Deborah cooked a lovely pasta dish to start and she made cookies which James and i decorated (he did most of em) We ended up with a full on traditional christmas roast.. we were sooo worried it'd be really bad but it was a massive success.. very pleased!! The best part was spending time with the guys from the interviews who i was talking to right up until i came but when i got here didnt really do all that much so it was kinda like a mini reunion!! Hope they all had a good night as it was definatly a good night! Just to prove we actually did it see below for pics!!

So im still without a camera :( however Jo has very kindly used my laptop for her photos because hers is broken o ive decided to steal some of her photos teehee!! Last week Jo and her roomies decided to begin decorating their lovely apartment in time for christmas and they asked me to help (although i just sat there on my laptop making fun of Candices 'snow' scented candle). It made me feel very festive and with christmas just around th corner it made me get a move on with sending cards etc! The tree looks better in real life.. these photos dont do it justice! Its very weird not buying you guys back home some christmas prezzies and arranging meals and nights out. Christmas is gonna be hard for all of us here without our families and friends so please keep in touch guys!!

Christmas is really in the air over here!! Its crazy!! Even now im sooo in the mood for christmas and im not the biggest christmas person usually! Disney just have this way of making everything perfect and magical its sooo weird. You walk around the world showcase and each pavillion has (besides Morocco for religous reasons) has its own version of Santa and they act as a storyteller and tell the story of christmas from their own country the Canadian one is a bit random.. hes a lumberjack (!) but the UK is Father Christmas and hes sooo cool i want to hug him all the time!!
When i walk to and form work everyday all you hear around Epcot is christmas music and then at night theres an archway leading to the World Showcase that lights up and has Dancing lights which dance to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Its awesome!! Every park has a tree they are all awesome. My favourite park for christmas is Disney MGM. It has a show called the Osbourne lights... Based on a family who years back went all out at christmas when decorating their house and then i dont know the full story but the dancing lights actually send shivers down my spine they are sooo perfect! I wish everyone could see it because you would all be in the most christmassy mood ever!!!
Does make me sad that i ont have people at home who i can share christmas with but my friends here are looking after me.

Fantasmic

Ok so one of the best Disney shows here is Fantasmic! If your a bit of a Disney geek you will love it! Its awesome and really clever! Its basically the story of mickeys wishes and dreams but then those evil nasty villains turn it into a nightmare... naughty villains!! Theres many Disney songs and practically all the Disney characters are in it.. its a must see for anybody visiting!! So if anybody comes to see me you are going!! Theres a pic of Ariel there for Jo and Emma!! xx

Seaworld

Seaworld was the heme park i was most interested in going to when i got here! So today me, Grace, Kevinand Lucy took a little trip down the I4 (the longest road i have ever seen) and went to see what all the fuss is about. I found out that i probably live closer to seaworld than i do Epcot!! Although i dont agree with the whole captivity and animals trained to perform thing the animals did seen genuinly happy. I had a fantastic time though!! can i just say Florida is freezing right now!!! i swear!! We saw the new believe show which has been put on because there is a new Shamu... The shows are fantatsic!! I would definatly go again!

Mine and Nats bday!!

Im no longer a youngster anymore.. ive passed into the realms of pension books and bus passes so im just gonna be 21 again this year!! 22 years eh?! Not bad for some of the stuff i get up to!! So it was Nats and my birthdays this week!! Thanks to everyone here and at home for their cards, prezzies, emails and texts. If you know me you will know im such a birthday person so its much appreciated!! For my birthday on Thirsday i went to the coral reef restaurant in Epcot which is awesome its like a theatre design.. kinda and at the fornt is a massive fish tank filled with cool fish... i loved it!! such an animal geek!! After that we went to Disney-MGM studios and saw fantasmic which is the only Disney show ive not seen and its awesome.. soo clever. If you're a Disney fan you will love fanatasmic!! In the evening we went to Pleasure island and got wasted which was fun!! We did the cha cha slide at midnight so as i turned 22 i was doing the cha cha slide!! yay!! Ill take a second at this point to say my camera is gay and i hate it because it wont turn on!! so thats whay theres a lack of pics!! OK so on Friday, (MY BIRTHDAY!!) Gaynor kindly offered to take a few of us to Busch Gardens. It was a fab day and would have been even better without a hangover!! My fave ride was sheikra it shits all over Oblivion!! In the evening there was only once place i wanted to be on my birthday JELLYROLLS!! I had a fantastic night there.. absolutely fantastic!! Thanks to everyone who came out! I was up on stage twice.. the first time i had to do heads shoulders knees and toes drunk and then the tree song which nobody will know but its fantastic!! Overall besides yesterdays hangover i had a marvellous birthday and loved every second!! im off out tonight again for it too!

Transvestite lads!

I never thought id do it but on Monday night i did!! Transvestite lads!! Oh dear!! Such an effort to actually get to lads this week!! I spent about half an hour doing my make up i had to run around the commons and find a wig!! Then i had to run to lads in heels!! But it was all good fun!! I was 20 minutes late and had to do a beer bong which isnt all that bad at all!! Its like a funnell and you pour beer into the top and it just goes straight in through the pipe.. its a lot worse than it looks!! Everybody ( except Will) went to such an effort this week it was good fun! Plus i got soo many compliments as a woman! Shocking!! Pics : Chris (who won best dressed lady) and his very feminine pose! Blue Martini

Last night we went to this really cool martini bar called Blue Martini. Its like the best bar ive seen since ive beenhere although Jellyrolls is still my favourite! Its quite a posh place so Jo, Candice, Bettina and I threw on some nice clothes and headed down to get elegantly wasted! The place has i think 4 bars one of which is outdors which is sooo cool. Its such a well designed place and the music is awesome.. proper society tunes! Plus girls get drinks for $6 and u get a lot of alcohol in the USA and they are proper martinis too! So in my drunken state i managed to get myself to PI in one piece and get some serious boogying done in Mannequins. They played sooo many good songs and all of my mates were there which is a firstfor a Monday coz everyone usually splits up but all the people i wanted to hang with were there!! yay!! This weeks theme was blindfold lads which basically entailed being blindfolded and drinkin many concotions unaware of what is going in your mouth! it was a really good lads a lot of people turned up and a lot of the newbies were there too. Chefs De France

How did i ever live without French food??... dear god this meal was beautiful! Chefs De France is in Epcot in the French pavillion (obviously). We went back to the commons after universal and got a little glammed up and headed down. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic and the company was excellent it was the perfect end to our day! I had snails to start they are surprisingly good i recommend anybody to try them, for my main i ate cod in a lobster mousse served on a bed of spinach and zuccini it was cooked to perfection it was delicious i ended with a creme brulee.. sooo good. Our server Valerie was brilliant she knew so much about the menu and made us feel so welcome. Pics: Us outdside waiting for our table and Lucy, Valerie and me (love Valerie!!) It was a fab day all round so thanks guys for cheering me up and thanks for a great day!!

Islands of adventure

After speedboating we went to guess where... Universal!! Again! I really dont love the place but its all i seem to do!! This time we went to Islands of Adventure. It was such a fun day, ive decided The Hulk is the best ride ever, its soooo cool!! Also the water rides are really cool there! Ooh and Spiderman is cool too its soo clever!! We saw all of the Marvel characters except Galactus :( ( private joke ). I was dissappointed with Duelling Dragons though, there was only one scary bit! We had a totally fab day though i loved it!! Speedboating

So last Thursday morining we all decided to go speedboating! So we headed down to the Polynesian which is a Disney resort not too far from the Magic Kingdom. Oh my gosh it was sooo needed it was actually the best thing ive done since i got here!! You get this cute little boat which does about 35mph but it was so nice to be doing it it really really chilled me out. I learned a valuable lesson about dangerous driving as i was on my mobile and sped out in front of a barge!!! Jut to let you know im not dead or anything.. my camera has gone missing presumed stolen at this point! fuckers!! Had a bit of a bad week and have considered coming home a few times but im not gonna quit im just gonna stick at it!! But yeah just so everyone knows its not all smiles and pixie dust! people can be shit here too!
This week i did what we call magical moment which is a scheduled time every night where we let a youngster in the restaurant start the fireworks.. Mickey can't make it for whatever reason. I did it for a little kid form Liverpool called Olivia and it was such a good laugh i really enjoyed it because she was sooo happy to be doing it! Her parents were awesome too very friendly and it was nice to speak to people from Liverpool too. I got a big kiss from her mum and her dad took photos of me and stuff which was really cool. Otherwise its just been a run of the mill week.
Except halloween which i will try and get pics of but yeah that was the night that pissed me off so we dont talk about that!

Monday after Lads

Monday nights out here we have UK Lads and UK lasses. This Monday i couldn't go beacause Lads have initiations (which is basically eating a bunch of gross stuff and doing really dumb things and getting wasted) because im not initiated yet i cant know what happens at an initiation. So Chris, Dom and myself had a few drinks and headed to PI afterwards to meet the rest of the gang. I had a great night!! Lasses theme for the week was write on white so all the girls had white tshirts and marker pens and then you just write a bunch of randomness on their tops.. i felt left out so let people write on my underwear!! Afterwards there was a party at my place which was very fun but it got a bit crazy and security were called and we got a reprimand. I'd left to stay at my friends at that point. Sundays are officially House of Blues... This week it was Doms birthday so we took him on his first trip to House of Blues. He was wasted!! If i could describe house of blues or compare it to somewhere at home id say it was similar to society but the music is a little harder, plus they play hip hop. its a massive bar with the rudest bar staff in the world!! Its good fun otherwise. Last night we went to Chillers in Downtown Orlando. It was another of Craigs leaving do's although the poor chap wasnt feeling too well!! Me and Jo were debating whether to go or not but im sooo glad we did! The bar itself is nothing special but its $1 a drink!! I tried Jagermeister for the first time which was fun! It has 3 floors one is like R&B, one is Rock music and the top floor is on the roof and is a mix of everything its soooo good on the roof! They played My humps though!! which is like one of the songs that really reminds me of home!! Craigs last Jellyrolls

These are pics from my housemate Craigs last night at Jellyrolls before he leaves us on Friday! Hes an awesome guy i dont even know him very well but ill miss the dude loads hes fantastic! There are a few traditions here when people leave and they are amazing.. things you will never forget! First we have throw outs.. a throw out is where you give away all of the stuff you have accumulted over your year to people who still have time left. Some things are passed down for years which i think is really cool. I got a sombrero and posters and a pink ball so i was well chuffed! We have UK Lads ( i will get pics from lads i promise) then we got to The beach lub at pleasure island and have the 'last song' basically the majority of people from the uk try and make it and we all stand in a huge circle while they play Greenday - Good Riddance. The leavers stand in the middle and we sing at them and they say bye and stuff... really emotional! and then we just have seriesof nights out. Last night was Jellyrolls where we had the last song again but it was sang live by the players at Jellyrolls which was supercool. It was a very very good night i really enjoyed myself. Animal Kingdom

Last week Di and myself went to Animal Kingdom for the day.. it was such a nice day and it was really cool doing things on a one to one instead of everyone trying to figure out what to do next.. very realxing! We go there and the first thing we did was go on Expidition Everest the newest ride at Disney at the moment. Its brilliant i loved it. We rode at the front and Di was petrified.. soo good!! We also rode Dinosaur which was also good and we went on safari and saw a cheetah but my camera packed in :( Also i know im gonna sound like a loser now but the carpark for Animal kingdom is probably the size of Garston seriously!! Its immense!!

We met some characters too which was nice because ive not met any characters yet.. all i seem to do is go to universal (grr) so t was cool to meet disney characters.. we met the pilot from duck tales Launchpad and friar tuck which was v cool! pics: Di and I with funny lookin tongues, Di me and Duck tales guy, Expedition Everest from afar, and Di friar Tuck and me!! It was a fab day so thanks to Di for being such good company.

Around this time every year Universal Studios plays host to Halloween Horror Nights.. I was a bt dubious about it but its sooooo good i got scared good a few times! The rides seemed to be faster and better Jaws was so much more scary and the park itself was awesome. They set up 7 'haunted houses' around the park and on various streets placed creepy people, zombies and Psychos with chainsaws. I really recommend anyone to do this because its very good, theres a lot of thougth gone into it.. My fave haunted house was the people under the stairs purely because i was scared good and proper in there! Its all jumpy scary nothing disturbing except when people runat you with chainsaws!! We had a great time and i would definately go back next year!!

Universal round 2

Sunday night i went to House of Blues in downtown Disney. House of Blues is the best place in the local area to listen to live music. However, on a sunday night its a proper club night its awesome!! At the beginning of the night they play Hip hop and rap but then at about 12 they get into trance and house.. its really good i enjoyed it lots and lots!! Below are a few pics of that night and also this Thursdays escapades in Bennigans. Not as good as past weeks but still all good fun!! 1st set: Jenna and Di doing a lesbian sex pose!! Bennigans!!! yay!! Here are a few pics from last nite which was soo cool because nearly all of our arrival group was out for the first time in at least a week (its seems longer seriously.. they know what i mean) Pics are : Nat and i at the beginning of the night. You drink the lot in one.. its actually pretty darn good!! And omg Long Island ice tea $3 i kid you not 3 whole dollars how cheap is that!! So easy to get drunk its brilliant!!

Downtown Disney

This week i went on a little trip to the bank!! Unfortunately i got a little distracted and didnt actually go to the bank hehe!! Here are a few pics of what downtown disney is like. Its really cool the World of Disney shop is the biggest Disney store in the world.. its huge!! seriously huge!! At the moment it has a giant stitch as you can see below! Stitch spits water at passers by, its well cute!! Theres also a big lego shop which isnt as interesting but its still cool because theres a giant lego loch ness monster!! yay!! Theres also a big shop with lots of film memorabilia, it has a huge signed Harry Potter poster which i want so much but its too expensive! There are loads of other shops and bars etc there too.. lots to keep you occupied. One of the shops i visited and by far the best is the biggest Virgin megastore you will ever see!! its amazing, it has EVERYTHING!! pictured below are a few of the things you can get just to make people a little jealous!! Ok so you can get Thundercats seasons 1 and 2 on dvd!! haha im gonna get it!! you can also get FAMILY GUY MONOPOLY AND MARIO MONOPOLY! How cool is that!! and they had a really cool Freddie Mercury action figure!! they also had loads of cool t shirts and random dvds and stuff.. its worth coming to Florida just to get cool stuff from there!!

Beauty and the Beast

It was started by like a barbershop quartet kinda setup called 4 for a dollar singing Disney songs they were really good! The show itself was really good the dancing was really good and the characters were awesome! I loved it and would definatley go and see it again!

Disney- MGM Studios

This is our day out at Disney MGM Studios. Please bear in mind i was incredibly hungover this day so if i look like crap thats why!! When we got there we were attacked by these nasty little critters called lovebugs! They are sooo gross! They are basically two flies flying around having sex its sooo gross! Florida is infested with them at the moment ive never seen the likes!
When we got in we decided it'd be fun to get silly hats (obviously) so see below pic for that!! I was the groom and Meg was the bride!! Nat, Jenna and Kim were pirates and lucy bought pretty ears!
After this we went onthe Rock n Rollercoaster (the greatest ride ever) and the Tower of Terror (quite possibly the scariest thing ever). I was soo hungover it was horrible i had the worst shakes ever anyway! We went to a bar last week called Jellyrolls and here are some pics! Jellyrolls is amazing its a piano bar with 2 piano's. They are awesome, all the music is live and they put on a wicked show!! I wish everyone form home could go because i know you would love it! Its on a lakeside which Disney have made look like a promenade type thing(!) so the pic below is of the view! I dont know what else to say other than its awesom and beer is sooooo cheap!!

This is the view of IllumiNations i get every night from work.. These pics are stolen from Chris who is a Liverpool fan so a big thanks to him coz i havent told him yet!! I watched this after my second day and its so far the best show ive seen its absolutely amazing and no photo's could do it justice. Basically the whole point of the world showcas ein Epcor is diversity and seeing other cultures and how they are in the respects of : architecture, food and also traditions and customs. The staff on each pavillion originate form the country the pavillion represents so im obviously from the uk so work on that pavillion! So the firework basically is a way of celebrating the world showcase.. its amazing seriously.. a must see!!

Disney Uni and Wishes

So today i went to Disney university and learned all about how we create magic for our guests it was cool. We learned about the history of the company from Walts life story to the story of the Disney parks also learned about up and coming events... Got my badge and my free pass to the parks.. yay!!
In the evening we went to Magic Kingdom.. was sooo cool. We watched wishes and the castle was all lit up so nice. Because they are celebrating 50 years of the parks the castle change colour to reflect the colour of the castle in each park worldwide which was really cool. Then wishes.. OMG so cool. Massive firework display with a cute lil song in the background about making wishes .. so Disney! Half way through tinkerbell flies form the castle down to behind Main Street shes giving us all some pixie dust!! I loved every second it was an amazing show and everyone has to see it.

Today we went to Universal Studios as a little treat. Its about 30 mins drive and cost $2 each in a 13 seater.. so cool! Spent the day in the Studios park rather than the one with the big rides because i was sooo hungover oops! Was a really good day had lots of fun and got to know everyone better. The park itself is quite big and is filled with mosyly rides form Older films like Twister, The Mummy, Jaws (which was awesome!!) bt has A shreck ride too. A lot of them are kind like hex in Alton Towers where ur walking around the ride and then u watch a little presentation and your in the ride as part of the audience, was quite cool i really enjoyed it. The in the evening we had Dinner in the Nascar cafe which again was soo cheap i love how cheap everything is here. You get free refills on soft drinks everywere too which saves loads! I love the cheapness!! Photos.. Nascar cafe where we ate, A spiderman sign (just for you Kate) Canal St in Universal ( i was looking for via fossa haha ), Meg, me and Jo outside Universal, Diane and myself by the big universal globe, Nat and a guy on stilts (he had the scariest eyes ever) this was outside the Mummy ride, easily the best ride in this park. Meg and a MASSIVE turkey leg, the biggest Hard Rock Cafe ive ever seen and Finally Nat and Jo messing around before we got our cab home!

This is from Saturday.. We spent most of the day by the pool (how amazing is it that i can say that). Just chilling because as u all know i cant swim :( but i went in and loved it. I was like the whitest person there though so im working on my tan loads now!! In the evening we went to a bar called Bennigans which is about 20 mins drive away. Its sooo cheap to get drunk in there. My first drink i went the bar ordered JD and coke (so predictable) and it was literally at least 1/2 jd and 1/2 coke but it was a big glass too so i was drunk pretty much when i finished that. It cost me $5.90 which is nothing really! So after a few of them you can imagine the state i was in! Ceri gave me a teddie too so i'd like to say thanks was so sweet!!
We played drinking games for a while too which was fun because i got to meet new people who are working in the same place as me. Met a few of the Canadians too which was really cool. The Canadians all seem really nice which is always nice. Hi guys im here!! in disney here are a few pics to prove it!! (Top left clockwise) Di and I at the airport after we landed, Jo, Jilly and me in Pleasure island, HOME!! the commons how pretty!! and pleasure island sign because it looked pretty! im loving it! At first i totally wanted to go home but i feel a lot better now its cool! There are many scousers here yay!!
Ok so yesterday was like the most intense experience ever, after a 9 hour flight we were whisked to the commons and shown to our rooms!! Met my housemates which was cool. Theres a party going on right now and the place is totally trashed!!
Went to wal mart which is AMAZING its totally huge i love it altho i spent an obscene amonut of money which wasnt good but got myself a mobile so ill have a US number soon! As you will see below they sell Lucky Charms which is boss!! You must remember Lucky Charms.. they ruled!! We went to Pleasure Island tonight which was the best fun ive had sober in a while! Theres a bar called mannequins which has a revolving dancefloor!! AWESOME! Then we went to a bar called Motion which had this huge screen and at midnight everyone did the Cha Cha Slide.. like the entire club was soooo fun! more pics on next blog.

These are a few pics form my Family leaving do. We went to a local pub which was cool because it was fairly quiet so it was a good way to catch up. Pics from top left : Me my nan and grandad, Me and my mum, My uncle David and Auntie Margie with me and my mum, My auntie Heidi, Me and my uncle Steven. Good fun was had by all. A lot of Jack Daniels was consumed which is always good!! Thanks for the cards and dollars guys it was really nice!! Now the clock is really ticking with 3 days to go.

pride

So these are some of the pics from pride... They are stolen from somebody else because my camera broke the night before. Pride was excellent. I went down on the Saturday because i had my leaving do from work the night before which was amazing if any of guys are reading this, seriously , thank you so much for being so nice and if any of you care the jack russell went to the RSPCA, hopefully its owner will get it back!! Was sooo drunk.
Got to Manchester around midday and went to the parade which was brilliant, there were lots of different floats from various companies and organisations and some amazing costumes. Then, after the parade we went to Canal St to get some dinner and a quick drink.
Later that evening was cowboys and indians night in Poptastic. It was BRILLIANT. I went as a cowboy as did Val. Joe went as an indian. Everyone looked really cool. The Sunday was spent shaking off a hangover and looking around the market etc and in the evening we went round a few bars and got a bit drunk.. was very good but i was quite sad to go. Would like to thank Lee and Joe again for having me they were excellent hosts as usual.

Me, Nat and a wall! Kirsty and Nat, Me in CAMDEN!!, Me outside a pub with a rude name!!

Went for my visa interview and was approved yay!! Went down 2 days early and spent the weekend at Nats house which was very cool! Her mum is the loveliest person ever and her bro is hilarious!
So the first thing we did was go to CAMDEN! which is soooo cool its all alternative shops like quiggins stuff which is cool! then we went to Carnaby street and went to soho for a drinky and ended up drinking organic brandy(?) was nice tho!
The day after i saw posh spices childhood home which was huuuuge!! After that went to a pub quiz and we totally rocked it! We didnt win but we did sooo well for 3 people. Then on the monday we met Kirsty in London again and went the embassy which your not allowed to take pics of :( was in there for 5 hours which was far too long but me being me just started chatting to this group of girls so it kinda flew!! Then we went to the pub and Kirsty had bought Nat and I leaving prezzies because we leave before her which i thought was sooo sweet. And then i went home!

Hehe this is my first time using photos on this which is why its soooooo badly done!! So these are a few pics from when i went to Alton Towers with the lovely Emma and Kerry, two of my best buddies in the entire world!! A good day was had by all as the weather stayed ok which is always good! And Emma was scared on a ride and she never ever ever gets scared by rides, ever! So i reccomend the pinball ride beacause its pretty cool!! But we weren't impressed because Rita Queen of Speed was closed and the Queue for Nemesis was HUUUUGE! But i had a fab day, am really gonna miss these guys soo much and our random days out. Hopefully we will have a few more before before i go!!

Ok am choosing this one to set up my blog because it looks like the best! So basically this is going to be my Florida blog when i get out there so everyone can check in and see how its going form time to time!!
